What Enterprise Buyers Should Actually Diligence

Certifications and case studies are useful, but engineering processes often reveal much more about how a development partner will perform.

Enterprise buyers should look beyond certifications, portfolios, and technology lists when evaluating an engineering partner.

Useful questions include how code reviews are handled, how production incidents are managed, how AI features are evaluated, and how senior engineers participate in actual development.

Ask for examples of architecture decisions, difficult delivery situations, and the processes used to prevent similar problems from happening again.

The goal is not to find a vendor with the biggest portfolio. It is to find a team with a development process that can consistently handle complexity, change, and production responsibility.
